As I developed the pantheon for Cycladic League, I gradually evolved away from the Classical Greek era towards primordial goddesses.

While most fantasy TTRPGs embrace pantheons of gods, few include demigods, the offspring of the union of a god and human. Yet demigods present the opportunity to bring the life of the gods down to earth and to connect PCs with the gods in a unique way.

The general advice for DMs building their own campaign worlds is to recognize that most of world creation won’t end up being experienced by the players.
